Adoration Health in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Executive Director to lead all aspects of hospice operations, including budgeting, staffing, and compliance, while promoting ethical, compassionate patient care.

The role requires supervision of professional and administrative staff, strong knowledge of Medicare Hospice services, and the ability to foster interdisciplinary collaboration across care teams to drive organizational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field.
• Master’s degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in health care management.
• Ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• Knowledge of Medicare Hospice services and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily hospice operations including budgeting, planning, staffing, and compliance.
• Promote ethical and compassionate patient care across the organization.
• Develop staff through supervision, training, and professional development.
• Foster collaboration across interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains).
• Monitor services, finances, and patient outcomes; identify and implement improvements.
• Build strong partnerships with departments, community partners, vendors, and leadership.

As an Executive Director, You will:

• Lead Daily Operations: Oversee all aspects of hospice operations, including budgeting, planning, staffing, and compliance with legal and healthcare standards.
• Ensure High-Quality Care: Promote ethical practices and ensure that every patient receives compassionate, comprehensive care.
• Support and Develop Staff: Ensure appropriate staffing, staff training, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
• Foster Team-Based Care: Oversee and strengthen collaboration across interdisciplinary teams (nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains, etc.).
• Drive Organizational Excellence: Monitor services, finances, and patient outcomes. Identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration , Master’s Degree in health care or related field preferred.
• Two (2) to five (5) years experience in health care management.
• Demonstrates an ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
• Has an ability to deal tactfully with the community.
• Has knowledge of corporate business management.
• Understands hospice care and the services provided to patient and family/caregiver through an interdisciplinary group.
• Intimate knowledge of Medicare Hospice Certification.
