Amgen in Thousand Oaks, CA, is seeking an Executive Director, Global Medical Affairs Cardiovascular Program Lead to steer strategic global medical plans for Cardiovascular-Repatha, build and lead a world‑class Medical Affairs team, and partner with Global Development, Commercial, Access, R&D and regional medical orgs to advance therapies across lifecycle.

You will oversee launch readiness, evidence generation, scientific communication, congress strategy, medical education, and stakeholder

Qualifications

• Experience leading global medical affairs strategies in cardiovascular programs.
• Strong track record in evidence generation, publications, and external engagement.
• Global program leadership across cross-functional teams and regions.
• GCP knowledge and global regulatory understanding.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of integrated global medical strategies for CV and Repatha.
• Partner with Global Development, Commercial, Access, R&D, and regional teams for alignment.
• Oversee launch readiness, medical education, and congress planning.
• Mentor Medical Affairs leads and manage budgeting and resourcing.
• Drive scientific narrative frameworks and external engagement plans.
• Ensure reimbursement and value-based considerations are integrated.
