Seminole State College of Florida is seeking an accomplished fundraising leader to serve as Executive Director of the Foundation. This role leads philanthropic development, governance, and external relations to advance the college’s mission.

The Executive Director reports to the College President and collaborates with the Foundation Board, college leadership, donors, and partners to expand support and opportunities for students and communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Eight (8) years of fundraising or related experience.
• Experience with donor management or advancement systems, prospect research, and fundraising data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive fundraising strategies across major gifts, annual giving, capital campaigns, planned giving, grants, and partnerships.
• Provide strategic leadership to the Foundation Board and long-term planning.
• Build relationships with donors, corporations, foundations, government entities, alumni, and community partners.
• Lead donor cultivation and stewardship, and oversee alumni and planned giving programs.
• Provide strategic fundraising counsel to College President and senior leadership.
• Oversee budget, financial stewardship, internal controls, reporting, and audits.
• Lead and develop the Foundation team and foster collaboration.
• Represent the Foundation and College in the community and build strategic partnerships.

Job description

Seminole State College of Florida is seeking an accomplished and strategic fundraising leader to serve as Executive Director of the Foundation.

The Executive Director serves as the Foundations chief advancement officer and a member of the Colleges Executive Leadership Team, reporting directly to the College President. This position provides executive leadership for philanthropic development, Foundation governance, financial stewardship, external relations, and operations.

Working closely with the President, Foundation Board of Directors, College leadership, donors, and community partners, the Executive Director will lead efforts to expand philanthropic support and build relationships that advance the Colleges mission and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive fundraising strategies, including major gifts, annual giving, capital campaigns, planned giving, grants, corporate partnerships, and other philanthropic opportunities.


• Provide strategic leadership to the Foundation Board, including governance, engagement, development, and long-term planning.


• Build and strengthen relationships with donors, corporations, foundations, government entities, alumni, and community partners.


• Lead donor cultivation and stewardship efforts and oversee the Foundations alumni and planned giving programs.


• Provide strategic fundraising support and counsel to the College President and senior leadership.


• Oversee the Foundations budget, financial stewardship, internal controls, reporting, and audit processes.


• Lead and develop the Foundation team, fostering collaboration, professional growth, and organizational sustainability.


• Represent the Foundation and College throughout the community and build strategic partnerships that advance institutional priorities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.


• Eight (8) years of experience in fundraising, development, advancement, public relations, or a related field.


• Experience with donor management or advancement systems, prospect research, and fundraising data analysis.

Preferred: Masters degree and experience in higher education.

Compensation & Total Rewards

The salary range is $127,717$199,238, with placement based on education, experience, and qualifications.
