Job summary

Buffalo State University invites applications for the Executive Director for the SUNY Financial Aid Network (SUNYFAN). The role reports to the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment Management and directs financial aid services, staffing, budgets, and strategic initiatives for SUNYFAN members.

Responsibilities include FAFSA/TAP support, staff onboarding, data collection, reporting, and strengthening program impact.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required.
Experience in higher education administration in financial aid is required (minimum 10 years).
At least 5 years of campus leadership experience at director level or higher.
Strategic planning and management experience.
Minimum of two years supervising professional staff.
Experience with data collection and analysis.
Experience with program assessment.
Experience tracking key deliverables and following up on outstanding items.

Responsibilities

Provide financial aid administrative services for members.
Track costs and allocate costs among members based on the annual budget.
Allocate overhead costs and assess late fees.
Provide information and analysis to members and obtain Advising Committee approval.
Prepare annual cost budgets for member campuses.
Make timely payments to contractors and consultants and audit bills.
Meet with Advising Committee at least every six months.
Establish service standards and a service charge schedule for SUNYFAN."
Maintain regular reporting to the Chancellor for SUNY system administration.
