Job summary

Rainier Scholars seeks an exceptional Executive Director committed to educational equity to lead the organization into its third decade. Working with the Board of Trustees, the ED will set strategy, oversee staff and programs, grow revenue, and advance recruitment and retention of scholars of color.

The ideal candidate will be a results-oriented leader who builds high-performing teams, cultivates donors, and represents Rainier Scholars in public forums to advance access to top-tier colleges for

Qualifications

• Experience leading a mature mission-driven nonprofit.
• Proven ability to grow programs and fundraising capacity.
• Strong ability to recruit and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent storytelling and relationship-building with donors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction with the board and staff.
• Oversee all programs, staff, and operations.
• Drive revenue growth and long-term sustainability.
• Lead and develop the leadership team and support board governance.
• Represent Rainier Scholars publicly to advance equity in education.
• Ensure fiscal and administrative oversight across the organization.
