Salary Range:
$193,600.00 - $367,800.00
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.

Summary
Serves in a multi-faceted role as subject matter expert in key indication(s), mentor to Business Unit (BU) staff, manager of other medical directors, and medical monitor for highly complex clinical studies or programs. Regularly represents the BU and enterprise in scientific meetings, business development meetings, and cross-functional process development and process improvement. Provides medical oversight of assigned clinical studies when assigned as medical monitor. Interacts with senior management, customers, and project teams to ensure subject safety and scientific integrity of clinical studies. Serves as a mentor and training guide to Business Unit (BU) staff and project colleagues. Provides medical oversight to clinical studies or other types of projects such as Medical Monitoring-only projects or Commercial or Consulting Projects. Assumes the role of Functional Lead on assigned clinical studies. Supervises, develops, and manages other Medical Directors. Regularly represents the BU and enterprise in scientific meetings and business development meetings. Responsible for asset and portfolio level management for one or more programs with one or more established partnerships or strategic customers. Provides therapeutic area medical input and consultation to internal colleagues and customers. Frequently consults with customers on clinical development plans, protocol design, standard of care, and patient perspectives.
