GENERAL FUNCTION:

This leadership, client-facing role involves directing deal teams working on asset securitization transactions, focusing on ABS esoteric structured products backed by digital infrastructure, music and film royalties, intellectual property, and whole businesses. Specific asset classes within digital infrastructure include data centers, fiber, and cell towers. The role includes originating and executing securitization opportunities, both loan and ABS, including public and private (144a or 4a2) securitizations, portfolio purchases, and advisory services. The individual is a senior leader in positioning the Asset Backed Finance business, building key client relationships, and independently managing complex transactions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all underwriting activities and collaborate with Credit on execution opportunities.
• Lead components of deal execution including pitching, analysis, deal management, and rating agency communication.
• Support existing portfolios and client management with Portfolio Managers.
• Ensure compliance with FTS/FTB policies and procedures.
• Drive client engagement, originate opportunities, and lead structured product presentations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Provide expert advice on ABS and asset-backed finance, including structural analysis and rating agency discussions.
• Lead and participate in all phases of securitization transactions.
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate deal team activities.
• Manage a pipeline of securitization opportunities aligned with business strategy.
• Identify potential new asset classes for securitization.
• Monitor and report on the securitization portfolio performance.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate deal team activities, assign tasks, and oversee deal execution. Provide mentorship and staff development.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• 10+ years in Banking, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets, with specific experience in digital infrastructure/IP ABS origination and execution.
• Proven track record in public, 144a, 4a2, and loan ABS deal execution and credit underwriting.
• Strong client relationship management skills in the esoteric ABS sector.
• Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written.
• Experience working with rating agencies and legal teams involved in ABS financings.
• Deep understanding of transaction models and structural mechanics for relevant asset classes.
• Experience with financing facilities such as warehouse and term loans.
• Leadership ability and team management skills.
• Effective communication with senior executives.
• Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7/79/63 licenses required.

Position: Executive Director/Director, Asset Backed Finance - Digital Infrastructure & Music/Film IP. Compensation is incentive-based, combined with a base salary or draw, with total compensation discussed upon request. Location: New York, NY 10020.
