Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with public-sector experience.
• Master's degree or equivalent certification preferred for advancement.
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience, including supervision.
• Demonstrated public-sector management experience across budgets, personnel, and labor relations.
• Trial court or judicial administration experience preferred but not required; training available after appointment.

Responsibilities

• Translate strategic priorities into effective court operations in partnership with the Chief Judge.
• Provide administrative direction across eight divisions and supervise senior staff.
• Support leadership continuity and succession planning during transitions.
• Oversee personnel management, performance reviews, and employee relations.
• Provide executive oversight of labor relations with union contracts and grievances.
• Develop the Circuit's annual budget and present it to the Lake County Board.
• Evaluate program requests and coordinate grants and external funding.
• Maintain strong relationships with justice partners and county officials.
