Job summary

Central Colorado Conservancy seeks an Executive Director to lead as chief executive, shaping strategy, culture, and sustainable growth across the organization. The role partners with the Board and staff to drive conservation impact in Central Colorado, while building relationships with donors, communities and stakeholders.

The position emphasizes fundraising leadership, staff development, and external relations to advance long-term conservation outcomes and organizational resilience.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in nonprofit, conservation, philanthropy, community development or related field.
• Proven track record of fundraising and major donor engagement.
• Experience building organizational strategy and culture.
• Experience working with or reporting to a Board of Directors.

Responsibilities

• Lead as chief executive and strategic leader, setting direction and ensuring long-term sustainability.
• Empower staff and program leadership to deliver operations and conservation work.
• Oversee fundraising strategy and donor engagement, building a culture of philanthropy.
• Maintain alignment between Board governance and organizational strategy and resources.
