Job summary

Astraea Lesbian Foundation for Justice, headquartered in New York, seeks an Executive Director or Co-Directors to lead a mission-driven organization advancing LGBTQI and feminist rights worldwide. The role focuses on strategic leadership, fundraising, and global grantmaking, with a commitment to racial and gender justice.

Reporting to the board, the leader(s) will guide organizational development, steward resources, and expand Astraea’s presence across movements while upholding feminist

Qualifications

• Executive leadership experience with a global or multinational organization.
• Proven success in strategic fundraising and donor relations.
• Experience managing large budgets and complex funding.
• Ability to work with diverse, global communities and boards.
• Fluency in English and other languages is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership to a distributed team.
• Oversee fundraising, grants, and financial stewardship.
• Advance organizational development and staff well-being.
