American Indian Resource Center, Inc, Seeking Executive Director

The American Indian Resource Center, Inc., AIRC Inc., is a non-profit 501(c)(3) located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. The Executive Director will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic goals to meet the organization’s mission through planning and directing the program operations, financial oversight, fundraising, and public relations.The CEO reports to the AIRC Inc. Board of Directors and is a full time position with benefits.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

●Bachelor’s degree in communications, public administration, education or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.

●Minimum of five years experience in nonprofit leadership.

●Proven success in fundraising and development with expertise in diverse fundraising strategies, including donor relations and grant writing.

●Strong background in working successfully with Boards of Directors, understanding nonprofit governance principles and implementing managerial best practices.

●Strong communication and interpersonal skills to lead a collaborative team that ensures excellence in operations and high quality services.

●Capable of building and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders, employees, and community members.

●Knowledge of financial principles and ability to create and execute budgets.

●Flexible schedule to accommodate evening and weekend events; ability to travel as needed.

●Must be willing to relocate to Tahlequah, OK or surrounding area.

●Familiarity with indigenized, decolonized and culturally grounded project development.

●Adept knowledge of indigenous dynamics in communities, families and schools.

Compensation

Salary begins at $70,000.
