Camp for All Kids, Inc. (“CFAK”) seeks a goal driven, collaborative and creative leader to serve as the organization’s Executive Director.

Status: Full-time, exempt employee

Reports to: Camp for All Kids, Inc. Board of Directors

About Camp for All Kids: Camp for All Kids provides pathways to the transformational experience of sleepaway camp for Black and Brown youth while fostering inclusive and equitable camp communities.

Our Campership Program provides renewable annual scholarships for elementary and middle school aged youth to attend 4- and 8-week sessions of overnight camp at our seven partner camps in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Our Four Star Fellowship (4SF) Program is an immersive overnight summer camp program that brings underserved high school aged youth and their year-round mentors together for transformative outdoor experiences, leadership development, and activities that encourage and strengthen lasting relationships.

Position Overview: The Executive Director will serve as the organization’s leader, working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, partner camps, school & community partners, and other key stakeholders to implement and strengthen a strategic vision that ensures Camp for All Kids’ continued success and growth.

The Executive Director will supervise multiple staff positions (currently 4) to ensure the development, growth and execution of program-level strategies. He or she will leverage the expertise that each employee brings to their role, harness the diverse skill set of the organization’s Board of Directors, spearhead and execute fundraising initiatives, and cultivate relationships with CFAK’s partners, donors and supporters.

Key Responsibilities
Leadership
  • Manage and develop team of 3-5 staff members.
  • Establish and implement performance metrics.
  • Oversee execution of programs, events and strategy.
Fundraising
  • Strengthen and expand Camp For All Kids’ fundraising capabilities and strategies, increase donor contributions and grow total gift revenue and grant awards.
  • Oversee the planning and execution of annual fundraising events and targeted fundraising strategies.
  • Solicit, cultivate and steward current and prospective donors.
  • Enhance donor database as strategic tool for donor identification and cultivation.
Stakeholder Relations
  • Strengthen relationships with partner organizations and families to grow Campership and 4SF participation.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Board members and volunteers to encourage increased involvement.
Communications
  • Serve as key spokesperson and advocate for Camp For All Kids.
  • Develop and execute strategic communications plan to raise awareness and drive philanthropic support.
  • Prepare external communications to supporters.
Operations, Strategy and Governance
  • Manage organizational finances, budgets, and cash flow projections.
  • Prepare financial statements and funder reports.
  • Work with Board to ensure governance best practices and recruit volunteers.
  • Implementation of the strategic plan.

Experience and Skills: Candidate evaluation will focus on the following priority areas:
