CUJF (Champaign-Urbana Jewish Federation) seeks a full-time Executive Director The successful candidate is a creative, trusted, and collaborative leader who can build strong relationships across our dynamic Jewish community and the broader public, while advancing our mission and growing the organization.

Core Responsibilities

• Administrative and Fiduciary Responsibilities: Handle day-to-day logistical and financial operations, including budgeting, compliance, and fund accounting.
• Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CUJF Officers and Board of Directors to advance the organizational mission, manage programs and subsidiaries, and optimize work processes in a dynamic environment.
• Community Engagement: Foster collaborative relationships with staff, board members, community volunteers, and external partners.

Desired Qualifications and Competencies

• Values Alignment: Deep commitment to Jewish ethical values, Israel, Jewish traditions and rituals, Jewish education, and Jewish charitable institutions.
• Management Experience: Proven track record of progressively more demanding managerial leadership, staff oversight, and operational development.
• Fundraising & Development: Demonstrated success in annual campaign management, donor cultivation, direct solicitation, and grant writing.
• Endowment Growth: Knowledge of planned giving, legacy giving, and securing long-term endowment funds.
• Professional Skills: Excellent communication skills, a collaborative work style, and the ability to implement creative strategies to strengthen organizational performance.
