Job summary

The Wikimedia Foundation seeks a senior communications professional to lead executive communications across a growing, global portfolio. You will serve as a primary communications partner to the Foundation's CEO, providing strategic counsel and direct support across internal and external communications.

Qualifications

10+ years of professional experience in communications, with several years supporting C-level executives.
Excellent verbal communication and writing skills, with ability to adapt for different stakeholders.
Experience navigating crisis communications and preparing executives to respond to sensitive situations.
Proven ability to pitch stories, engage press, and manage key relationships to drive results.

Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO to develop and execute executive communications strategy.
Shape messaging and thought leadership across internal and external channels.
Prepare speeches, remarks, talking points, social posts, and internal communications for the CEO.
Identify opportunities for media engagements and external thought leadership for Wikimedia leadership.
