Job summary

The Idaho Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) seeks a Communications Manager to lead internal and external communications for ITS. This role plans, organizes, and implements ITS communications strategies across multiple channels, including agency and stakeholder communications, employee communications, social media, website content, newsletters, publications, and executive communications.

As a member of the ITS Executive Leadership Team, you will work closely with the State CIO,

Qualifications

• Effective communication strategies, including verbal and written communication.
• Current trends in digital and social media.
• Writing, editing, proofreading, and layout and design.
• Publishing tools such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Adobe InDesign, Drupal, or WordPress.

Responsibilities

• Develop, recommend, and implement ITS communications strategies and monitor effectiveness.
• Serve as a member of the ITS Executive Leadership Team and provide strategic communications counsel.
• Develop operational plans, policies, procedures, and protocols for internal and external communications.
• Draft, develop, coordinate, and oversee ITS communications to ensure messaging is accurate, timely, and aligned with priorities.
• Lead and coordinate communications to state agencies and stakeholders regarding outages, disruptions, incidents, and changes.
