Job summary

Mind Robotics is seeking a senior communications leader to be our first dedicated comms hire and partner to the CEO. You will own the CEO’s public profile—earned media, podcast placements, press interviews, and executive voice—and align the company’s external messaging as we scale.

This role also shapes internal communications, crisis response, and the company narrative. You’ll operate without a team, move fast, and own the function end-to-end, collaborating with leadership, finance, and legal

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years in communications, with in-house technology company experience.
• Proven track record managing executive communications for a founder-CEO or senior leader.
• Strong media relationships across tech and business press; podcast producer and digital media contacts a plus.
• Exceptional writing across press releases, executive narrative, internal memos, and editorial content.
• Startup builder mentality: able to own a function end‑to‑end and create structure from ambiguity.
• Experience in deep tech, robotics, automotive, or adjacent industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the CEO's day-to-day communications partner: briefing docs, media prep, talking points, and message development.
• Drive a proactive earned media strategy—pitch and secure placements on podcasts, business and tech press, and conference stages.
• Own the CEO's editorial output: op-eds, public statements, and investor-facing communications.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, podcast producers, and editors.
• Develop and own the company's messaging architecture, narrative positioning, and crisis framework.
• Lead all media relations: primary press contact, inbound inquiries, and milestone materials.
• Support fundraising and product launch communications with leadership, finance, and legal.
• Design and run internal communications infrastructure: all-hands formats and cadence.
• Write company announcements, onboarding and culture communications in on-brand voice.
• Partner with HR on employee experience communications.
