Job summary

Intermountain Health, Peaks Region, Colorado, seeks a Regional Chief Medical Officer (RCMO) to lead clinical care across acute hospitals, ambulatory assets, and the employed medical group. The RCMO ensures high-quality, safe, and efficient care in alignment with Intermountain Health’s mission and values.

The role partners with regional leaders to advance Value Based Care, drive clinical integration, recruit and develop physicians, and champion evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in a clinical specialty recognized by ABMS or AOA.
• Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in CO/MT/NV/UT or eligible to obtain one.
• Minimum 10 years clinical experience and 5 years progressive leadership in healthcare.
• Demonstrated knowledge in clinical quality improvement, patient safety, population health, and healthcare delivery systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight and direction for the region ensuring regulatory and quality standards.
• Lead development and implementation of clinical services, policies and initiatives.
• Champion growth in Proactive Care and Children’s Health across the region.
• Serve as liaison to the Region Board's Clinical Excellence Committee.
• Drive adoption of evidence-based practices and clinical governance across markets.
