Job summary

The Office of the Secretary of the Interior is seeking a Senior Executive Service (SES) candidate for a category 4 position with a minimum pay of $162,740. Responsibilities include enterprise cybersecurity program leadership and cyber defense operations at scale across a large, dispersed agency.

Candidates must submit a two-page resume showing ECQs and two Technical Qualifications (TQs). Veterans preference does not apply to the SES.

Qualifications

• Executive Core Qualifications (ECQs) and two Technical Qualifications (TQs) demonstrate leadership, policy, risk management and operational competence.
• TQ1 - Enterprise cybersecurity program leadership across a large, complex, geographically dispersed organization.
• TQ2 - Cyber defense operations at scale, including threat detection, incident response, vulnerability management, and coordination with external partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise cybersecurity program leadership and direction for a federal SES position.
• Oversee cyber defense operations, policy development, risk management, and coordinating with external partners.
• Lead efforts to drive efficiency and organizational performance in line with SES requirements.
