Job summary

Harvard University Information Technology (HUIT) seeks a Chief of Staff to partner with the VP & UCIO and to strengthen coordination, information flow, and follow‑through across the organization. The COS will support daily, mid‑term, and long‑term initiatives, synthesizing information and preparing executive materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight years of progressively responsible experience in executive communications, stakeholder engagement, project or portfolio coordination, or related work in a complex organization.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating complex, cross‑organizational initiatives in a highly matrixed, fast‑paced environment.
• Experience supporting senior executives is required.

Responsibilities

• Advance and support VP & UCIO priorities; anticipate needs, synthesize information, and identify gaps.
• Develop and coordinate agendas, background materials, and follow‑up for key meetings.
• Cross‑HUIT coordination to align SLT and teams across the organization.
• Represent the VP & UCIO in selected meetings when requested.
