Job summary

Hyatt Regency Buffalo / Hotel and Conference Center in downtown Buffalo invites a talented Executive Chef to lead our culinary team for restaurants and banquets. You will oversee kitchen staff, design menus, control food quality and cost, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.

The role requires at least 3 years of Executive Chef experience, strong leadership, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as part of a team dedicated to delivering memorable guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience as Executive Chef.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local food-handling regulations.
• Strong work ethic and self-initiative.
• Ability to work varying schedules including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train kitchen associates to ensure quality food production.
• Schedule and direct kitchen staff, including sanitation and cafeteria operations.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for the team.
• Establish performance standards for food preparation and purchasing.
• Monitor sanitation and cleanliness of food and beverage areas.
• Manage food cost, labor, and related expenses.
