Jim 'N Nick's Community Bar-B-Q in Nashville, TN is seeking an experienced Chef to lead our high-volume scratch kitchen. You will own food quality across pit, line, prep, and catering, and protect our recipes and standards on every plate.

This hands-on role emphasizes coaching cooks, controlling costs, and maintaining safety. The right candidate is a strong leader who can grow with us toward future kitchen leadership as we expand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading a high-volume kitchen in a chef role.
• Scratch cooking is essential; consistency and quality are non-negotiable.
• Strong people management and cost-control skills.

Responsibilities

• Own food quality across pit, line, prep, and catering.
• Execute and protect recipes, specs, and scratch standards on every plate.
• Coach and develop cooks into craftspeople and future leaders.
• Manage food cost, waste, inventory, and ordering with discipline.
• Uphold safety and sanitation as foundational to the craft.
• Partner with GM and owner on goals, budgets, and growth.
