Located just outside Silicon Valley and San Jose, the renovated Embassy Suites by Hilton Milpitas Silicon Valley is seeking a creative Executive Chef to lead their culinary team. The property features 2 culinary outlets, 19,000 sq ft of event space, 267 guest suites, an indoor pool, and scenic views of the Milpitas foothills.

What will I be doing?

As Executive Chef, you will oversee all culinary operations, ensuring outstanding guest service and financial success. Responsibilities include:

1. Managing all culinary activities, including meal production, food quality, safety standards, team performance, policy implementation, and cost control.
2. Creating and implementing new menus for our restaurant TASTE, based on current trends and regional tastes, in collaboration with the Director of Food and Beverage, while maintaining brand standards.
3. Overseeing the complimentary breakfast program and ensuring adherence to brand standards.
4. Ensuring compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol standards, as well as participating in QA inspections and Ecosure programs.
5. Handling purchasing and receiving for daily and event needs.
6. Managing systems, budgets, forecasting, reporting, and department operations.
7. Developing staff performance through supervision, training, scheduling, evaluations, and recognition.
8. Recruiting, interviewing, and training team members.
