Gilt Bar is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Executive Chef ($80,000-$100,000/year + Bonus) to join our team. Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment.
  • At least 3 years as an Executive Chef or in a senior kitchen leadership role.
  • Strong financial understanding with in-depth COGS management experience and proven strategies to improve restaurant financial health.
  • Problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset regarding culinary and operational issues.
  • Open availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays; schedule may be adjusted with approval.
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds frequently.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, including recruiting, training, employee reviews, and documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with guests, staff, vendors, and leadership.
  • Create and publish back-of-house schedules two weeks in advance, manage labor costs, and approve payroll.
  • Monitor daily financials, including food costs, and collaborate on managing expenses, labor, and revenue. Participate in monthly financial reviews and present P&L insights.
  • Work with various teams to promote the restaurant’s financial health.
  • Maintain food quality standards and vendor accountability.
  • Handle administrative tasks like opening/closing duties, maintaining facilities and supplies, and updating the Recipe Index.
  • Coordinate staff training, update training materials, and support professional development.
  • Provide coaching and support for hourly staff, and be adaptable to fill FOH roles when needed.
