Position Summary

The Executive Banquet Chef oversees daily kitchen operations and manages all food preparation associates. This key role motivates and boosts the productivity of the culinary banquets team.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise and manage the Banquet Kitchen team
  • Develop and train associates, enforce policies
  • Lead and assist in food preparation for banquets and events
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in food prep and storage areas, complying with health regulations
  • Prepare weekly kitchen work schedules
  • Exceed customer expectations and provide excellent service
  • Respond effectively to guest inquiries
  • Assist the Executive Chef with kitchen operations
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef on food presentation and decorative displays
  • Estimate and communicate daily production needs
  • Prepare and cook a variety of foods, including for special events
  • Maintain standards for purchasing, receiving, and food storage
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or related training preferred
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in quality food and beverage production
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong problem-solving and listening skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under time constraints
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Necessary safety certifications
  • Knowledge of Public Health regulations
Physical Requirements

Constant standing and walking; occasional exposure to cold, heat, and water. Ability to transport up to 50 pounds occasionally and 35 pounds regularly.
