Aba, the Mediterranean restaurant with a California influence, will open in Nashville’s Wedgewood / Houston neighborhood in Summer 2025. Led by Top Chef Alum Chef Partner CJ Jacobson, this will be Aba’s fourth location, joining others in Austin, TX, Chicago, IL, and Miami, FL.

Aba is coming to Nashville and is hiring an EXECUTIVE CHEF!

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and ensure efficient BOH operations, including purchasing standards, inventory, and food cost control
• Provide leadership and guidance to hourly and management teams, fostering our Culture of Caring
• Research, develop, and execute seasonal menus and new items in collaboration with divisional leaders
• Ensure effective BOH training in partnership with trainers and chefs
• Conduct quarterly audits of BOH procedures and systems
• Partner with chefs to purchase and order supplies
• Review and maintain recipe books with the GM and management team
• Create and maintain recipe costing in collaboration with relevant staff
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and developing BOH staff
• Promote teamwork and professionalism across all teams
• Handle guest, vendor, and employee challenges with tact and patience
• Work various shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and travel as needed
• Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of Executive Chef experience in a full-service restaurant
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Proficiency in managing BOH systems

Salary Range: USD $70,000 - $100,000 per year
