Job Summary

Our Prepared Food Team Leaders are honest, engaging, respectful, authentic, and display a curiosity for food. This role is designed to inspire our Team Members and customers to discover the pleasure of food. The Prepared Foods Team Leader manages the Prepared Foods Team at both locations, ensuring smooth operations. You will be the go-to person for guidance on creating great meals and staying informed about new products. Leaders are responsible for the department's operational performance at all times. Represent the organization professionally, promote mutual respect, inclusion, diversity, and dignity. Coach Team Members regularly with timely feedback, identify development opportunities, and coach for success.

Job Description

• Experience Required: Retail work experience or Store Leader recommendation
• Experience Desired: Retail leadership or supervisory experience; successful performance as a Peer Trainer, in-store champion, or similar role; relevant product knowledge; good performance and discipline record
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification or Licensing Required: Food Safety
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Interview, select, and train Team Members
• Direct the work of Team Members
• Assess Team Members' productivity and efficiency for promotions or changes in status
• Handle Team Member issues, including complaints
• Discipline Team Members
• Plan and assign work tasks
• Ensure safety and security of Team Members and the store
• Manage department or location budget and inventory
• Monitor and implement compliance measures
• Oversee and evaluate training to reduce turnover and promote efficiency
• Provide motivational leadership, focusing on respect and setting an example
• Identify team strengths and opportunities; plan strategically for scheduling
• Develop future leaders and recognize potential rising stars
• Foster an inclusive and diverse environment where every Team Member has a voice
• Prioritize safety for all—Team Members, guests, and products
• Inspire passion for food and excellence in service
• Set and achieve sales and profit goals, manage shrink
• Maintain effective communication with the team and merchandising
• Suggest innovative ideas to improve the business
• Analyze financial and operational reports to enhance performance
• Oversee inventory accuracy and monitor fluctuations
