Job summary

The City of Boise seeks a Chief Administrative Officer to lead the Boise Fire Department's Business Services Division, guiding administrative and professional services that support operations and long-range goals. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration or related field.
• Fifteen years of progressively responsible management and administration experience including fire service administration/management.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee administrative services for the department and develop staffing structures.
• Lead strategic planning, project management and change management for department initiatives.
• Collaborate with the finance team on operating budgets and financial matters.
• Ensure compliance with standards, policies and employment matters.
• Interact with mayor and council to communicate, report and align priorities.
• Serve as a liaison with other city departments and manage contracts.
