Job summary

Responsibilities

• Directs a highly technical multi-layered workforce team through subordinate managers that provide administrative, tactical and strategic support to facility operations and that have impact on the effective and efficient use of the NAS.
• Oversees training, airspace and procedures, plans and programs and other facility program areas; leads a functionally integrated team of managers and staff.
• Provides training, coaching and guidance to subordinates and facilitates team building across program areas.
• Reviews work progress using organizational performance measures to ensure results meet FAA mission and customer needs.
• Participates in accident investigations and incidents as directed; provides vision and leadership to facility teams.
• Assigns work, sets goals and priorities, evaluates performance, and handles disciplinary actions and development needs of subordinates.
• Recommends budgetary actions, allocates resources, and ensures compliance with national programs while aligning with FAA flight plan initiatives.
• Leads labor-management partnerships and fosters a fair and equitable work environment for all employees.
