Job summary

Nutrien is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support senior leaders in the North American Fertilizer and International Sales teams. Located in Deerfield, IL, you will manage calendars, travel, reports, and budgets while coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless operations.

You will draft and edit communications, maintain records, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary certificate or diploma in Business, Communications or related field.
  • 5+ years providing confidential administrative support to senior leaders in a large organization.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Strong judgement, discretion handling sensitive information.
  • Excellent organization and time management with ability to manage priorities.
  • Strong writing/editing skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional, service-oriented and collaborative working style.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential executive administrative support for VP, North American Fertilizer, VP, International Sales and Customer Service team; including calendar and email management, report generation, expense management, and general administrative tasks.
  • Coordinating large-scale meetings, including venue coordination, budget tracking, travel and meal arrangements.
  • Manage calendar scheduling, meeting logistics, materials preparation, meeting minutes/action items and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate complex domestic and international travel including itineraries, flights, hotels, ground transportation and visas as needed.
  • Draft, edit, proofread and quality-check correspondence, presentations and reports.
  • Support department operations including electronic and paper records management, procurement of supplies and services and general office administration.
  • Process expense reports and assist with SG&A budget preparation, tracking and forecasting.
  • Partner effectively across leadership teams and stakeholders, contributing to a productive, respectful and inclusive culture.
  • Support a variety of other tasks as required.

The successful candidate will support the VP, North American Fertilizer, VP, International Sales and their team. As an experienced executive assistant, you will work closely alongside the Vice President’s as their trusted confidant, supporting the delivery of exceptional quality support and services to internal and external stakeholders.


This position is located in Deerfield, IL.

What You'll Do:

What You'll Bring:
  • Post-secondary certificate/diploma (or equivalent training) in Business, Communications or related field
  • 5+ years providing confidential administrative support to senior leaders in a large, complex organization
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Strong judgment, discretion and ability to handle sensitive information
  • Excellent organization and time management; able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong writing/editing skills and high attention to detail
  • Professional, service-oriented approach and collaborative working style

The salary range for this role, in Deefield, IL, is between $51,400 - $88,000. While we provide this range as general guidance, several factors are taken into consideration when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, candidate skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, work location, and other business and organizational needs. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

We provide an attractive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance and well as disability coverage for positions working more than 30 hours per week. In addition, we have a retirement program that encourages our employees to save for the longer term, with generous matching employer contributions. Our benefit package also demonstrates our culture of care with paid vacation, sick days and holidays as well as paid personal and maternity/parental leaves and an Employee and Family Assistance Program. In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan, consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee. Details will be discussed through the application process.
