Job description

We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Seattle, Washington D.C., Raleigh, London, and Amsterdam.

Plaid’s Executive Assistant (EA) team sits within the People Team and partners closely with the company’s senior leaders. Our EAs are trusted, strategic partners who help leaders stay focused on their highest-impact work—from managing complex calendars and preparing for critical meetings to coordinating Board logistics, leadership onsites, customer dinners, and company-wide events. We operate as one connected team, sharing best practices, supporting one another, and exploring process redesign, new technology and AI-enabled approaches to make the way we work faster, smarter, and more effective.

As an Executive Assistant at Plaid, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the productivity and operational efficiency of our leaders and their teams. Success in this fast-paced environment requires exceptional organization, proactive problem-solving, and strategic priority management. This position is ideal for a team-player who is a highly motivated self-starter, ready to execute with precision and discretion in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities
  • Support Partnership: Provide executive and administrative support to 3-4 Product and Engineering leaders/teams

  • Calendar Management: Efficiently manage and own complex calendars, scheduling, and logistics for leaders

  • Relationship Development: Partner closely with leaders and team both internally and externally, with composure and discretion

  • Meeting Coordination: Coordinate internal meetings and ensure agendas are tracked and action items are circulated and followed up on

  • Project Management: Execute cross-functional projects, including drafting team-wide communications and managing logistics for All Hands and internal events

  • Travel Planning: Manage complex travel arrangements and coordination

  • Team Connection Logistics: Own end-to-end planning, vendor management, and execution of onsites and team events.

  • Financial Administration: Provide budget oversight and manage expenses across teams

Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience providing administrative or project support, preferably in a fast-paced technology or high-growth environment

  • Experience directly supporting Directors, Senior Managers, or similar high-level team leads

  • Someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and exhibits a strong sense of ownership

  • A motivated and resourceful self-starter who can fearlessly execute and navigate through ambiguity and think on their feet

  • Agility and flexibility to quickly respond to changing priorities and proactivity in anticipating the needs of others

  • A high degree of emotional intelligence coupled with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Proven ability to build strong partnerships and provide reliable, consistent support to colleagues and partners across the organization.
