Medtronic is a global leader in healthcare technology with a Mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. Our 95,000 employees work across more than 150 countries to put patients first — developing innovative medical technologies that improve the lives of 72+ million patients each year. Your unique talents will help shape the future of healthcare while building a career grounded in purpose, growth, and impact.

A Day in the Life

The Endoscopy Operating Unit, part of Medical Surgical, has created a business out of disrupting the status quo in the detection, prevention, and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers and chronic diseases. We’ve done this by commercializing transformational technologies that improve patient management and standards of care while increasing access to our innovations worldwide. We improve patient outcomes by empowering gastroenterologists across the globe with artificial intelligence and disruptive therapeutic technologies.

While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver’s license is essential for this role.

The Executive Area Innovation Manager (AIM) is a field‑based individual contributor commercial leadership role within Medtronic Endoscopy, responsible for accelerating adoption and sustained utilization of Medtronic’s AI‑powered GI Genius™ platform. AIM leads through influence and serves as a customer‑facing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) commercial specialist, partnering with enterprise health systems, MSOs, IDNs, hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, and physician practices to drive technology integration, clinical adoption, and long‑term value realization.

AIM operates as a subject matter expert in AI‑enabled endoscopy, aligning internal cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders to advance strategic growth initiatives. This individual will lead enterprise customer‑level sales and market development efforts, expand installed base utilization, and transfer best practices to the broader commercial organization to scale impact nationally.

Significant travel required (up to 75%).

The ideal candidate demonstrates a natural commercial leadership presence with the credibility to engage and influence executive stakeholders. They can effectively connect clinical, technical, and financial value propositions to drive strategic decision‑making and business outcomes. They bring a growth mindset and entrepreneurial approach, thriving in a large enterprise environment while identifying new opportunities and driving innovation.

Additionally, they are passionate about advancing AI‑enabled healthcare solutions and leveraging emerging technologies to improve patient care and healthcare delivery.

This Executive AIM will be based in Atlanta, Georgia; Jacksonville, FL; or Charleston, SC and cover a region including South Carolina, Georgia and North Florida.

  • Serve as a commercial expert in Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), including workflow integration, clinical adoption, utilization growth, and long‑term customer success.
  • Maintain deep expertise in artificial intelligence trends in healthcare, competitive dynamics, and macroeconomic forces shaping AI adoption.
