Scope

The Execution Planning Advisor II supports the early development of brownfield upstream unconventional facility and infrastructure projects. This individual will validate existing facility conditions, evaluate reuse opportunities, and develop practical execution plans before projects transition to a Project Engineer for execution.

The role works closely with Project Development Engineering, Operations, Construction, Project Execution, Central Engineering, Surface Land, Regulatory, Project Controls, and Supply Chain to identify tie-ins, constructability risks, permitting requirements, safety considerations, shutdown needs, and other execution constraints.

Key Responsibilities
Brownfield Verification and Facility Reuse
  • Verify existing brownfield facility conditions, constraints, capacities, and opportunities for reuse.
  • Partner with Operations to identify operability concerns, maintainability requirements, equipment limitations, and facility considerations associated with new production.
  • Document affected systems, facility boundaries, tie-in feasibility, shutdown requirements, and reuse constraints.
  • Identify brownfield risks early enough to influence project scope and design decisions.
Execution Planning and Constructability
  • Develop preliminary execution plans for well pads, tank batteries, production facilities, flowlines, pipelines, tie-ins, and related infrastructure.
  • Develop pipeline routes and engage Construction to identify routing risks, access requirements, constructability concerns, and execution constraints.
  • Identify demolition requirements, shutdown needs, sequencing considerations, and field conditions that could affect scope, schedule, cost, or safety.
  • Evaluate execution feasibility and support the development of practical project assumptions.
Technical Basis and Field Documentation
  • Develop redlined P&IDs, plot plans, preliminary routing layouts, tie-in identification, and other field-based planning documents.
  • Verify that proposed project concepts align with actual facility conditions, applicable engineering standards, and execution assumptions.
  • Provide technical and field-verification support to the Project Development Engineer.
  • Prepare reliable documentation packages for handoff to Project Execution.
Safety, Permitting, and Execution Readiness
  • Conduct early process-safety risk screenings to identify potential hazards, operating impacts, design considerations, and risk-management requirements.
  • Identify personnel-safety and process-safety considerations during project development.
  • Support Gate Review inputs, Design and Execution Plans, change documentation, permitting requirements, and execution-readiness deliverables.
  • Coordinate with Surface Land and Regulatory stakeholders regarding right-of-way, access, permitting, land constraints, and regulatory readiness.
Project Coordination and Continuous Improvement
  • Coordinate with Project Controls regarding cost, schedule, planning assumptions, and execution-readiness forecasts.
  • Engage Procurement and Supply Chain regarding equipment demand, long-lead materials, inventory availability, and material readiness.
  • Improve project handoffs by clearly documenting risks, constraints, assumptions, and readiness requirements.
  • Contribute to process improvements that reduce rework and strengthen execution planning.
Skills and Qualifications
