Job description

Interventional Radiologist
Vascular & Interventional Partners (ViP)

Phoenix–Scottsdale Metropolitan Area | Arizona

Full-Time | In-Person | 100% Interventional Radiology

About the Opportunity

Vascular & Interventional Partners (ViP) is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist to join our growing, physician‑owned practice in the Phoenix–Scottsdale metropolitan area. This is a rare opportunity to practice high-level, fully consultative Interventional Radiology within a 100% IR private practice—with no diagnostic radiology responsibilities—while enjoying exceptional compensation, autonomy, and work‑life balance.

ViP is widely regarded as one of the premier Interventional Radiology groups in the Southwestern United States. Our physicians are known for technical excellence, clinical depth, and a shared commitment to patient‑centered care. The group culture is collegial, energetic, and transparent, with a strong emphasis on long‑term partnership and professional growth.

The Practice

ViP is an exclusively physician‑owned IR practice specializing in Body IR, NeuroInterventional Radiology, and Endovascular Neurosurgery. The group maintains a robust footprint across both hospital‑based and outpatient settings, including:

  • Comprehensive hospital coverage at Arizona’s largest academic quaternary referral center
  • Multiple additional hospital and procedural sites across the region
  • A high‑volume outpatient office‑based lab (OBL)

Our flagship hospital partner is a Level I trauma center and multi‑organ transplant center (liver, kidney, pancreas, heart) and serves as the primary teaching site for an IR/DR residency program. ViP physicians hold faculty appointments, participate in medical school education, publish in peer‑reviewed journals, and present at national meetings—while maintaining a strong private‑practice identity.

Position Overview

The practice is seeking a full‑time IR physician to expand coverage in its hospital services division. This role is ideal for an Interventional Radiologist seeking:

  • Comprehensive IR practice with broad procedural diversity and high‑level cases
  • Professional autonomy within a physician‑led organization
  • High earning potential paired with meaningful time off
  • A modern, growth‑oriented group with focused long‑term vision
  • Candidates with 1–2 years of post‑training experience are preferred, though motivated new graduates with strong clinical foundations are encouraged to apply.
Clinical Scope

ViP offers a comprehensive and sophisticated IR practice, including the full spectrum of interventional procedures:

  • Vascular access and dialysis interventions
  • Peripheral arterial disease and complex venous interventions (incl. PE and DVT thrombectomy)
  • Interventional oncology (Y‑90, TACE, ablation)
  • Advanced embolization (PAE, GAE, and more)
  • Women’s health interventions (UFE, pelvic venous disease)
  • Complex biliary and genitourinary procedures
  • Vertebral augmentation
  • Image‑guided biopsies and drain placements
  • Stroke and neurovascular intervention (optional; not required for all candidates)

Our experienced PAs and NPs, many with deep IR and NIR backgrounds, allow physicians to focus on high‑value clinical and procedural work. Dedicated nursing, medical assistants, schedulers, and administrative staff provide the infrastructure needed to deliver excellent care efficiently in a complex healthcare environment.

Compensation & Benefits

ViP offers a transparent, market‑leading compensation model designed to reward productivity, engagement, and long‑term contribution:

  • Shift‑based base compensation: $700,000–$800,000 / yr
  • $50,000 sign‑on and relocation bonus upon joining
  • Additional compensation beyond base pay through productivity incentives and profit sharing
  • Competitive associate compensation for new graduates with transition to full earnings in year two
  • 11‑12 weeks vacation
  • Comprehensive benefits package including:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • Malpractice coverage
    • 401(k)
    • CME and professional expense allowance
Why ViP?
  • 100% physician‑owned and physician‑led private practice
  • Strong, collaborative culture with transparency and mutual support
  • Deep multidisciplinary integration with oncology, neurology, hospital medicine, and surgical subspecialties
