Responsibilities

• Cooperates in developing and implementing a program aligned with district goals and student needs.

• Sets clear objectives for classroom activities and communicates them to students.
• Uses effective instructional methods and materials; assesses student progress regularly.
• Analyzes student progress and seeks appropriate assistance as needed.
• Collaborates with staff to plan instructional goals and methods.
• Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning appropriate for student maturity.
• Plans and supervises assignments for aides/volunteers and evaluates their performance.
• Prepares substitute plans and ensures coverage as required.
• Communicates with parents/guardians to involve them in education-related matters.
• Maintains accurate, complete records as required by law and district policies.
• Protects students and school property; adheres to safety procedures.
• Presents a positive professional image of the district at all times.
• Participates in staff development and district activities as assigned.
• Supports administration in implementing policies governing student life and behavior.
• Engages in ongoing professional growth through reading, workshops, and training.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in committees as requested.
• Is punctual and fulfills duties responsibly; adheres to leave policies.
