NeoGenomics invites qualified candidates for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist – Flow Cytometry role. The position requires analyzing specimens, reviewing and releasing test results, and preparing stock solutions used for testing according to standard criteria.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in a relevant science, with ASCP generalist eligibility and potential preference for Medical Technology graduates.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences with at least one year of laboratory experience or training.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
• Eligibility for ASCP generalist license required at time of graduation.
• Eligibility for state licensure to perform laboratory testing (Florida or California).
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher from Howard University.
• Knowledge of laboratory techniques and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or in a team.

***This opportunity is for current Howard University and Texas Southern University Clinical Laboratory Science Program Students only***As aClinicalLaboratoryTechnologistI-Flow Cytometryyou will work under general supervision. You will be responsible for performing highly complex laboratory testing procedures. You will figure out acceptability of specimens for testing, prepare clinical specimens and identify specimen related problems.

In this position, you will need to analyze specimens and review and release test results. You will have the means to prepare stock solutions, reagents and cocktails used in the laboratory. You will then test these based on standard criteria and document all observations.

• Documents all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory’s established performance specifications
• Demonstrates initiative in making suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity and provides consistent feedback
• Maintains laboratory in a clean, functional state, as well as cleaning, performing or scheduling equipment and instrument maintenance/calibration/certification, as required
• Participates in continuing education

Education:

• ABachelor’sDegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversityin one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciences with the addition of at least one year of laboratory experience/training/training course is required
• ABachelor’s DegreeinMedicalTechnologyis preferred

Qualification Requirements:

• Nationally: Eligibility for ASCP generalist License required at time of graduation
• Florida, California:Eligibility for state license to perform laboratory testing required.
