Job summary

CTRL Remote Ops seeks an Excavators & Loaders Subject Matter Expert to codify loading standards and share expert judgement gained from thousands of operating hours. You will shape training, set best practices, and guide the future of loading automation across our field deployments.

With 8+ years on hydraulic excavators and front-end loaders in surface mining, you will mentor teams, interact with OEMs, and drive site-based success while leveraging your deep understanding of loading dynamics.

Qualifications

• 8+ years operating large hydraulic excavators and front-end loaders in surface mining, with experience as a trainer, assessor, leading hand or supervisor.
• You don’t need to come from an automation background.

Responsibilities

• Write the loading standard (first version) and define why great operators do what they do.
• Coordinate excavator, loader and autonomous fleet interaction.
• Lead operator training and competency development.
• Conduct field trials of assisted and automated loading technology.
• Support loading performance and troubleshooting across sites.

We’re hiring a Excavators & Loaders Subject Matter Expert.

Autonomous haulage works. Now we’re turning our attention to one of the most important parts of the cycle: loading.

This isn't a production seat.

We’re looking for someone with deep loading experience who can take the judgement built over thousands of operating hours and turn it into standards, training and the future of loading automation.

You’ll own work across:

• CTRL’s loading standard you’ll write the first version
• Excavator, loader and autonomous fleet interaction
• Spotting, queueing and loading optimisation
• Operator training and competency
• Field trials of assisted and automated loading technology
• Auto-dig, spot assist and payload optimisation
• Loading performance and troubleshooting
• The operator voice in future automation development

You’ll work alongside operators, engineers, OEMs and autonomous mining teams to turn what works at the face into something we can repeat across operations.

8+ years operating large hydraulic excavators and front-end loaders in surface mining, with experience as a trainer, assessor, leading hand or supervisor.

You don’t need to come from an automation background.

You need to know loading exceptionally well and be able to explain why great operators do what they do.

Permanent. Full time.

50-70% site-based in blocks.

Deployments across the United States.
