Job summary

North State Environmental, a leader in the Civil Site work and Environmental Construction industry, is searching for Excavator Operators to join their team. Home office is located in Winston-Salem, NC. If you have 3+ years of experience operating heavy equipment, GPS and/or Caterpillar controls experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes for pipe installation, grading, and site preparation.
• Operate excavators with hydraulic thumbs, bulldozers, and wheel loaders.
• Follow OSHA safety procedures and report issues to the Project Manager or Safety Director.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.

Essential Functions

• Operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in Pipe Installation, General Grading, & Site preparation.
• Excavators w/ Hydraulic Thumbs
• Bulldozer
• Wheel Loaders
• Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of the Project Manager, Safety Director, or Human Resources Manager as needed.
• Follow daily procedures and protocols as set forth in equipment training.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor, clean equipment.
