Job summary

Suburban Enterprises in Wisconsin is seeking an Excavator Operator to join our team. You will operate excavating equipment, read blueprints, coordinate with crew, and support safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of experience operating excavators or similar heavy machinery.
• Proficiency in operating, maintaining, and basic troubleshooting on excavators and/or similar equipment.
• Technical knowledge of how to use equipment needed for the job.
• Knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, designs.
• Strong safety knowledge for the job site.

Responsibilities

• Perform all excavating work for the company.
• Operate machinery to excavate, clear, move, load and unload materials.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance.
• Refer to blueprints/designs to determine on-site needs.
• Handle trenching, pad work, and site preparation.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site.
• Lead on excavating sites with Supervisor or foreman, coordinating helpers.
• Assist estimating with quotes and proposals for projects.
• Assist in setup, relocation, and secure storage of equipment.
• Follow OSHA standards and use PPE; keep area clean.
• Cross-train to support Tools, Shipping/Receiving, Deliveries, Inventory as needed.
