Catons Plumbing & Drain Service in Catonsville, MD is seeking an Excavation Operator for residential and commercial sewer and water repair projects. The role focuses on excavations using backhoe, mini excavator, and related equipment, with safety and customer service as priorities.

Requirements include construction experience in both residential and commercial settings and a current CDL Class A license. Candidates must be able to work nights/weekends and complete jobs on schedule.

• Trenchless water, sewer & gas experience is a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, as required for the role.
• Complete jobs within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steers and other excavation machinery to excavate and load loose materials on residential and commercial job sites.
• Load, unload and secure equipment on transport trailers according to guidelines.
• Follow OSHA and Roto-Rooter safety procedures.
• Work collaboratively with a crew to efficiently complete excavation work on various projects.
• Interact with customers as needed, providing excellent customer service and addressing their requirements professionally.
• Maintain excavation equipment and gather all necessary equipment from the branch and/or rental companies to ensure smooth operations during excavation tasks.
• Perform excavation work in confined spaces and open trenches, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
• Locate and arrive at job sites promptly, ensuring safe driving and operation of service vehicles between locations.

Catons Plumbing & Drain Service, located in Catonsville, has been providing the greater Baltimore area with the best plumbing maintenance and repair services for more than 60 years. Catons has built a reputation in the Baltimore area as the emergency plumber of choice! Our plumbers will provide a fair and honest estimate free of charge for any residential plumbing issue.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Excavation Operatorfor sewer & water services repairs/replacements. The primary role of the Excavation Technician is to perform residential and commercial excavations that resolve plumbing issues resulting from compromised or broken plumbing lines.

We are growing and have an excellent opportunity for a Skilled Heavy Equipment Operator, especially backhoe and/mini excavator for sewer & water service repairs/replacements.

Salary Range for this position is approximately: $75,000-$95,000 per year. Commissioned, non-exempt position.
