Job summary

Heavy Equipment Operator Tier 1 role on projects located in Lima, OH and Sidney, OH, requiring travel and out-of-town stays as needed. The position focuses on safe operation of excavators, haul trucks, loaders, and related equipment for trenching, grading, and utilities install.

Must demonstrate strong safety awareness, teamwork, and the ability to follow project plans while maintaining productivity and quality in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of heavy equipment operating experience.
• Ability to independently operate excavators and haul trucks.
• Strong understanding of construction site safety and OSHA practices.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy construction equipment ( excavators, rock trucks, loaders, dozers, etc.) on excavation and utilities projects.
• Perform excavation, trenching, grading, backfilling, and material handling per plans.
• Excavate around underground utilities with proper clearances and safety standards.
• Support duct-bank, vault, and utility installation by accurate digging to required depths.
• Load, haul, and place material using rock trucks or loaders; coordinate with spotters and crew for safe zones.
