Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service is seeking an Excavation Technician for sewer and water services at our Ft. Lauderdale area branch in Deerfield Beach, FL. The role involves residential and commercial excavations to resolve plumbing issues, with average earnings after training of $75,000–$90,000.

Responsibilities include safety-first excavations, pipe repairs or installations, and operating heavy equipment. A valid driver’s license is required, with CDL possible depending on vehicle.

Qualifications

• Hands-on excavation experience in residential and commercial settings.
• Valid driver's license; CDL may be required for certain vehicles.
• Ability to navigate confined spaces and trench operations.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as needed.
• Experience with trenchless water, sewer & gas projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety per OSHA and company protocols.
• Interact with customers as needed.
• Perform excavations and subsequent pipe repairs or installations.
• Operate excavation machinery (back-hoe, mini-excavator, skid steer).
• Work in confined spaces and open trenches.
• Safe driving between job sites in service vehicle.
