Job summary

Horst Group is seeking a Project Coordinator to assist with day-to-day activities of active excavation projects and act as a liaison to Project Management. The role involves leading resources, coordinating documentation, and ensuring timely submittals and safety compliance.

The ideal candidate will have 2–3 years of excavation experience, be fluent in English, and able to read blueprints. This position emphasizes accuracy, communication, and coordination across teams on site in the United States.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of excavation-related experience preferred.
• Must read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English.
• Must be able to read blueprints and contract documents.
• Must use basic design tools and office technologies.
• Must demonstrate basic computer skills and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and coordinate all resources per contractual obligations.
• Plan and document project information; assist PM with control docs and logs.
• Coordinate access to information and daily activity needs.
• Assist PM in obtaining permits and approvals.
• Coordinate submittals, logs, shop drawings and reviews.
• Maintain RFI log and verify timely responses.
• Confirm dimensions and field coordination.
• Support site safety management and adherence to the safety plan.
• Ensure as-builts, O&M manuals, submittals, testing docs are filed for closeout.
• Attend team, client and project meetings; document notes for records.
• Distribute memos and communications; liaise with customers, subs, vendors, owners.
