United Ground Express in Newark, NJ, is seeking an Airport Passenger Assistant to help travelers with mobility, luggage, and check-in tasks. You will greet customers on arrival and guide them through the airport while maintaining safety and courtesy.

The role requires clear English communication, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and flexibility for day, night, weekends, and holidays. Training includes security clearances and airport-specific procedures; prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data.
• Must be willing and able to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces.

Qualifications and minimum requirements

• High school diploma, or GED
• Minimum of 18 years old
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Ability to operate a computer/tablet to enter and retrieve data
• Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physical activities including, bending, stooping, climbing, and working in tight spaces
• Must be able to be alert to moving vehicles or aircraft and use radio equipment
• Must be able to read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags
• Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal) per local requirements
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must be able to work during day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays; mandatory overtime may be required based on operational need
• Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications
