Job summary

Pinnacle HealthCare Environmental Services is seeking an EVS Technician to perform cleaning and disinfection in surgical services and peri-operative areas, ensuring patient safety and quality care. You will follow approved infection prevention practices and maintain documentation while promoting a safe, compliant environment.

The role requires 1 year of healthcare environmental services experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and compliance with health screenings and vaccinations.

Qualifications

• 1 year health care environmental services experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TB test (PPD) and required vaccinations (COVID + Flu) and Hepatitis B as applicable.
• Ability to read/write English at a basic level.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect specialty units and equipment (Surgical Services, Endoscopy, Pac U).
• Follow cleaning/disinfection principles, proper chemical use, and PPE protocols.
• Maintain logs and checklists.
• Stock and restock EVS supplies and equipment.
• Dispose waste according to regulations and waste streams.
• Adhere to HIPAA and infection prevention practices.
