UVALDE COUNTY HOSPITAL AUTHORITY UVALDE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL is seeking an EVS Technician for the Environmental Services Department. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in environmental services or janitorial work is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and safe chemical use in healthcare settings.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in patient rooms, nursing stations, treatment areas, and other facility spaces.
• Sanitize and disinfect surfaces, equipment, and furniture to prevent infection spread.
• Empty trash and transport waste to designated disposal areas following safety protocols.
• Stock and maintain cleaning supplies and restock as needed.
• Follow procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials.
• Respond promptly to cleaning requests from staff or patients.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and emergency cleanup needs.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines.
