Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services seeks an Environmental Services Technician I to maintain a clean, safe environment and support high quality patient care. You will perform daily cleaning of patient rooms, bathrooms, and corridors, follow infection control standards, and participate in ongoing educational activities.

The role supports hospital operations in a fast-paced environment with a 2:00pm–10:30pm Tuesday through Saturday shift.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Good communication skills to effectively communicate with staff, patients and families.
• Must be able to demonstrate knowledge to provide service to diverse patient populations (neonates to geriatrics).
• Must perform daily cleaning tasks according to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning of assigned areas (patient rooms, bathrooms, trash, dusting) per SOPs.
• Adheres to safety and infection control standards.
• Attends inservices and performance improvement activities, including Excel.
