Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY is seeking a full-time Environmental Services/Housekeeping staff member in Excelsior Springs, MO. The role runs 2pm–10:30pm, Monday through Friday, and offers hourly pay of $15.50–$18.50.

You will follow standard cleaning and disinfection procedures and handle linen, waste, and EVS supplies with diligence. The position requires prior housekeeping experience and the ability to demonstrate proper use of chemicals, supplies, and equipment after training.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• After initial training period, must be able to demonstrate proper use of chemicals, supplies and equipment assigned.

Responsibilities

• Follows standard cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
• Demonstrates proper cleaning and disinfecting techniques.
• Demonstrates proper use of EVS supplies and equipment.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the cleaning levels and frequencies.
• Demonstrates proper use, transportation, and storage of clean and soiled linen.
• Practices and promotes proper hand hygiene.
• Demonstrates understanding of standard and transmission-based precautions through appropriate donning, use and doffing of PPE.
• Demonstrates an understanding of their role of EVS and infection prevention.
• Practices safe handling of various waste streams
• Demonstrates proper segregation and storage of various waste streams.
• Identifies any unsafe work conditions or practices.
• Demonstrates proper handling of sharps.
• Appropriately and respectfully communicates with leadership, staff, patients, and their families.
• Timely and effectively communicates issues or concerns to leadership.
• Supports training of team members as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
