Job summary

Dignity Health is seeking an Environmental Services Technician (EVS) to provide essential cleaning and disinfection across patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces. You will manage waste, operate cleaning equipment, and strictly follow infection-control protocols to maintain a safe, welcoming hospital environment.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, a reliable work ethic, and a conscientious approach to safety.

Qualifications

• Health care cleaning work experience or similar heavy project work.
• Must read and understand Chemical labels and MSDS; follow dilution amounts.
• Must be in compliance with departmental safety policies 100% of the time.
• Attends mandatory hospital/staff inservices 90% of the time.
• Preferred: Lead experience in related field.

Responsibilities

• EVS Closets and Carts: Keeps closets and carts clean, locked, and orderly at all times.
• EVS Equipment: Treats hospital equipment with respect; follows equipment safety policies; puts equipment away after each use.
• Safety/Safe Work Habits: Must be in compliance with departmental safety policies 100% of the time.
• Chemicals: Read and follow Chemical labels and MSDS; follow dilution amounts 100% of the time; keep bottles labeled; keep chemicals locked when not in use.
• Body Mechanics: Use safe body mechanics at all times.
• In-services and Staff Meetings: Attends mandatory hospital/staff inservices 90% of the time.

Every day you will expertly clean and disinfect patient rooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces, manage waste disposal, operate specialized equipment, and meticulously follow infection control protocols to maintain impeccable standards.
To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a dependable, conscientious demeanor, contributing significantly to a healthy and comfortable facility environment

Pay Range

$25.00 - $25.00 /hour
