Responsible for executing the daily duties required to establish and maintain a safe, hygienic and aesthetically pleasing care environment. Provide corrective cleansing action for rooms and public areas while engaged in contact with staff, visitors, patients and patient's families as needed. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for timely cleaning of rooms, floors in corridors and other assigned areas to meet established cleanliness and infection control standards. EVS Technician 1 is to ensure cleansing standards are according to the Association for Health Care Environment (AHE) publication Practice Guidance for Health Care Environmental Cleaning policies as the EVS Tech 1 is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention and patient experience. This role will initially be filled as a temporary position. Based on demonstrated performance and accountability, the employee may be eligible for conversion to a Children’s Health position.
