Job summary

Baptist Health Louisville is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I to maintain a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing patient environment through cleaning and disinfection, supporting infection prevention, and delivering high-quality service.

In this full-time role, you will interact with patients and staff, meet department standards, and provide courteous customer service while prioritizing tasks to support patient throughput. Day shift, 40 hours weekly.

While executing the assigned tasks, EVS Tech will have contact with patients, visitors, and clinical and non-clinical staff. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. Responsible for ensuring timely room turns related to patient throughput within the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. The environmental services technician, in accordance with organizational standards of quality, is an essential contributor to cleaning, disinfection infection prevention and patient experience.
